 The certificate for
birth is issued by Cantonment Executive Officer, Babina as per section
12 and 17 of Birth and Death Registration Act 1969 in Proforma No. 9
prescribed by rule 9 of the said Act.
 Likewise, the
certificate for death is issued as per section 12 and 17 of Births and
Deaths Registration Act 1969 in the Proforma 10 prescribed by rule 9
of the said Act.
As per
para-3 of byelaws for registration of birth or death any error or
fact or substance in any registration may be corrected by the
Cantonment Executive Officer, Babina upon production of application
in writing to that effect by the person requiring such error to be
corrected or a declaration on oath setting forth the nature of error
and the facts of the case giving full information to this effect. The
Cantonment Executive Officer, may confirm the facts from two credible
persons having knowledge of the case before making corrections to the
erroneous registration.
The
Officer Commanding of every Military unit stationed at Babina and the
head of every family resident in or on a visit to Babina Cantonment
and the person in charge of every Lodging, House, Dharamshala, Sarai,
Hospital or other similar institutions therein shall submit the
information to Cantonment Executive Officer Babina in person or by an
agent in writing within three days of the occurrence of any birth or
death in his regimental line, family or among persons staying in the
said premises.
It shall
be the duty of every Medical Officer or Medical practitioner to report
to the Cantonment Executive Officer, Cantonment Board Babina regarding
birth of a child or death of a person or child, which comes to his
knowledge in his professional capacity within 3 days of the birth or
death as the case may be. |
