1.

Submission of application for water connection with copies of the documents i.e. ownership of house/property viz. registered sale deed, sanctioned building plan and tax clearance.

In Cantonment Board Office on all working days between 1000 hours to 1700 hours.

Intimation to applicant in case of deficiency in application for water connection.

Within 7 days from receipt of application by the dealing section.

Information with regard to submission of the requisite fees/charges for water connection and non-judicial stamp for execution of agreement. If the deficiency in application is removed by the applicant within the period mentioned in the intimation letter as per item No.2 above.

Within 5 days.

The water connection stall be granted to the applicant within 7 days after execution of the agreement and provided that :-

(a)   Ferrule of 1/8” bore size will be provided by the consumer for a ½” size pipe connection.

(b)   He will also arrange for laying of pipes from the point of connection up to his house and other accessories required for the connection.

(c)    The equipments once installed would become immediately the property of Cantonment Board Babina over which the consumer/tenant will have no claim whatsoever.

(d)    The consumer will also bear the cost of any subsequent repair works.

(e)    The consumer shall not renew, after and extend the connection within or out of the premises without previous permission.

(f)     As required under section 224 of Cantonment Act 1924, the official of the Cantonment Board Babina, deputed for the purpose, may inspect the misuse of water in the premises.

(g)    The payment of water charges should be made within 30 days of receipt of the bill, failing which the dues shall be deducted from his security amount and connection will be cut off immediately without giving any notice. In case the dues are still found outstanding, recovery shall be made through CJM Jhansi under section 259 of the Cantonment Act 1924.

(h)    The water connection will not confer any proprietary rights to claim any validation to any unauthorized constructions, encroachments in the premises on the date or at a later date.

(i)     The water supply to the house can only be restored, if all the dues outstanding to wards taxes/charges pertaining to that house are cleared by the applicant.
